The Key Club of Maggie Walker is partnering with the Kiwannis Club to volunteer at the Richmond Marathon on Saturday, November 14. The Kiwannis Club sets up and monitors the first water station at the 2-mile mark on Broad Street. As the first water station, all runners will pass this area. Volunteer early and finish early -- set up time is at 6:30 a.m. and finish at 9:30 a.m., although they also need people as early as 5:30 and until 10:30 if you would like to extend your community service. Feel free to wear your Maggie Walker t-shirts/sweatshirts/etc.

Please feel free to sign up for as many volunteer shifts as you want. If you sign up to volunteer at the same time as one of our visiting author events, you will certainly be able to attend the author lecture. All we ask is that you return promptly to the gift shop afterwards to help manage the crowd. If you are unable to fulfill the volunteer shift you have signed up for and it is within 48 hours of the shift, please try to find someone to take your place. It is not too late to sign up to work in our booth or be one of of our volunteer representatives working with The Midlothian Junior Women's Club (MJWC) to help set up, breakdown or man one of their games.
