George Mason Elementary, in partnership with 4th Baptist Church and the Richmond City Police Department, are looking for tutors Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 4:00 to 4:45 starting November 17th. Tutoring sessions will take place at 4th Baptist Church (28th & P Streets), and there is an orientation on November 10th at 3:30 (also at the church). The school is looking for students to make a regular commitment to working with their students (1 day a week, 2 days a week, or all 3). Please contact Reginald Barley, Esquire, at 783-8468 or at [email protected]. Mr. Barley is the parent of a MW Alum. This is a great opportunity (similar to the Newtowne Tutoring Program) and is located less than 4 miles from MWGS.
Additionally, this is something that I would like to be involved with. I can commit to one day a week and would be willing to drive up to 4 students in my car and return to MWGS afterwards. Please let me know if you're interested. Sharon Parker, Community Service Coordinator
